FULL CONSULTATION £30 FOR 30 MINUTES

This is where we plan your package and journey and do a full assessment of your hair and I understand your hair history so I can achieve and package your service accordingly.

So it’s transparent as to what is needed to achieve your desired Copper Hair transformation either it a copper journey or complete conversion I’ll look after you every step of the way.

I use specialist techniques such as combination lighting effects, all of which are explained and discussed at the initial consultation where a journey will be mapped out for you.

We make your wellbeing our priority. For that reason, are delighted to share the news that we’re now going to offer testing to all our colour clients using Colourstart, which is an advanced colour allergy screening system. This means you won’t need to keep returning to the salon for a patch test – you simply download the Colourstart Passport app and create an account, buy the test, then each time you book a colour appointment you log on to the app and answer a few questions, then we’re ready to colour.

If this is your first colour service with The Copper Queen, or if you have not yet set up your “Colourstart Passport” visit colourstart.com/colourstart and follow the instructions .

Purchase Your Test

1 week before your colour appointment visit The Copper Queen to purchase your Colourstart Skin test (£15), and follow the instructions provided on your “Colourstart Passport”.

Record Your Results

Record your results using the the “Colourstart Passport” these will be shared with The Copper Colour Queen prior to your colour appointment, ensuring a smooth service.

Why do we skin test?

Whilst an allergic reaction is rare, it does happen from time to time. The main ingredient in colour that causes a reaction, is PPD, which is found in most colourants. We have a duty of care to test against this before we colour and our policy is to always test before colour.

Why are we changing to Colourstart?

You know we are passionate about hair colour, and we’re equally as passionate about your experience in the salon. The traditional skin testing method is outdated and inconvenient for clients to visit the salon purely for a skin test. We have researched this and the facts are, we don’t think it’s necessary to be repeat testing on the skin and Colourstart is by far the most effective way to test.

Why Colourstart?

Well, Colourstart patch test is the most sophisticated and advanced skin testing method available. It is licensed by the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as the only clinically proven method of screening for potential allergy to PPD(which is the chemical that causes a reaction).

Colourstart is straightforward to use and cuts out salon visits to have a skin test. It also gives us complete creative freedom on the day of your visit because if you’ve tested and had the ‘ok to colour’ result,then we are 100% sure you will not have an allergy and can use any colour in any way.
